"I have one of two choices—stay in the post office and go crazy…or stay out here and play writer and starve. I have decided to starve."
Those words launched the career of the great Charles Bukowski.
While my full time role as Editorial Director of WellWell prevents hunger, I echo the sentiment. Two years at SUNY Orange followed by an Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Hunter College have taught me the world for aspiring writers has not strayed far from Bukowski's original description - with perhaps one small amendment, the blog. So by day, I deliver 3-4 pieces of weekly writing, interviewing high profile figures and niche wellness specialists alike, while managing a small team of administrative and marketing staff.
But by night, I'm here—famished.
